A starter solenoid is an electromagnetic change that engages the starter motor’s gear with the automobile’s flywheel. When the ignition key’s turned, the solenoid receives energy from the battery and creates a magnetic subject. This magnetic subject pulls in a plunger, which then pushes the starter motor’s gear into mesh with the flywheel. The starter motor then begins to show the flywheel, which in flip begins the engine.
